Classic Quinoa


Quinoa has more protein and fiber compared to white rice and can substitute white rice for Indian curries when cooked properly. Here is the recipe I follow to make it taste similar to white rice so I can eat with Indian Curries.

Total Time: 15 mins

Ingredients:

1. Quinoa - 1/2 Cup
2. Water - 1+1/2 cups
3. Salt - per taste

Preparation:

1. Roast Quinoa in a non stick pot till you smell nice aroma
2. Add water and salt
3. Keep on high heat till the quinoa starts boiling
4. Place lid and simmer immediately
5. After 10-15 mins, check for water in the bottom of the pot with a spoon; If its not watery in the bottom of the pot, your quinoa is ready to enjoyed with any curry/salad.
